Indications: high fever with profuse sweating and an aversion to heat, a red face, severe thirst and irritability, and a flooding, forceful or slippery, rapid pulse. May also include headache, toothache, or blooding of the gums and nose.
Bai Hu Jia Ren Shen Tang
White Tiger plus Ginseng Decoction
For injury to the qi and fluids characterized by fever, thirst, profuse sweating, generalized weakness, and a large, forceless pulse, add Ren Shen. Xi Yang Shen is often used in place of Ren Shen.
