LU4 According to Master Hukaya
Location:Â With the patient lying on his or her back, and the head in a neutral midline position, the patient's arm is placed so that the Lung meridian touches the tip of the nose. Â The place where the nose touches the meridian is LU4.
Indications: LU4 is the 'oxygen supply point'. It is used for lack of oxygen to the lungs, neck, throat, and head. Â It treats asthma or shortness of breath, tightness of the chest, and respiratory difficulties associated with heart disease. It may be used as a secondary point in the treatment of the thyroid gland.
Treatment: Massage the point to relieve pressure pain at KD23-KD26 area or pressure pain below the sternum.  For breathing difficulties, it should have an immediate effect.  It is most often treated with 7-8 thread moxa.  If moxa cannot be used, a needle can be inserted, usually 20-30° with the meridian.
