- Aromatically transforms dampness, releases the exterior and dispels summerheat: for dampness obstructing the middle burner as well as summerheat-dampness and damp-warmth.
- Harmonizes the middle burner and stops vomiting: most commonly used in cases of nausea or vomiting due to dampness obstructing the middle burner. Can also be used for other types of vomiting, and for morning sickness, when combined with appropriate herbs.
