Cautions & Contraindications:
- Contraindicated in those with loose stools from Spleen deficiency.
Actions & Indications:
- Moistens the Lungs and stops cough: for both acute and chronic cough. Especially useful for cough from deficiency, including yin deficiency.
- Expels parasites and kills lice: apply topically as either a tincture or a decoction for head or body lice or fleas.
- Also used as a wash for bacterial vaginosis and as a nightly retained enema for pinworm.
