  • Contraindicated in cases with yin or blood deficiency.

Actions & Indications:

  • Strongly dries dampness and disperses cold: for cold-dampness obstructing the Spleen and Stomach presenting with epigastric and abdominal distention, fullness, and pain together with vomiting and diarrhea and a very greasy tongue coating.
  • Checks malarial disorders: for intermittent fever and chills associated with malarial disorders, especially when due to cold-dampness or turbid dampness.
  • Dissolves stagnation and distention: for indigestion due to meat stagnation. Also for focal distention and nausea due to cold from deficiency of the Spleen and Stomach.
